Doug Baumgardt

Senior Staff Scientist at ENSCO

Doug Baumgardt has extensive work experience in both the private and military sectors. Doug began their career in 1971 as a Lieutenant in the United States Air Force, where they served as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer. In this role, they were responsible for managing Organizational Maintenance activities on the flight line for C140 transport aircraft.

In 1979, Doug joined ENSCO, Inc. as a senior staff scientist. Doug quickly rose to the position of Chief Scientist, where they were in charge of concept definition for R&D and business development. With over four decades of experience at ENSCO, Inc., Doug has been a key contributor to the company's success.

Doug Baumgardt earned a Bachelor's degree in Geophysics and Seismology from Indiana University in 1969. Doug then pursued a Masters Degree in Geophysics at Indiana University Bloomington from 1969 to 1971. Later, Doug went on to obtain their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Geophysics and Seismology from Penn State University, completing their studies from 1973 to 1981.
