Hossam Ashtawy

Hossam Ashtawy is a highly experienced professional in the field of AI and machine learning, currently serving as Senior Director of AI/ML at Ensem Therapeutics since April 2024. Prior to this role, Hossam held the position of Director of AI/ML at 1859 Inc from August 2022 to March 2024, and served as Staff and Senior Machine Learning Scientist at Atomwise from December 2019 to August 2022. Hossam gained valuable experience as Tech Lead in Automated Driving at Ford Motor Company from July 2016 to December 2019, contributing to path planning and product development, while also working as an R&D Scientist in data analytics. Hossam's academic background includes a PhD and a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Michigan State University, as well as a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Tripoli University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Zawia.
