Elizabeth Stokes

Elizabeth Stokes has been working in the creative industry since 2007. Elizabeth started their own business, E Stokes Creative, LLC, where they provided creative solutions utilizing photography, retouching, design, illustration, and branding. Elizabeth specialized in romance book cover design and illustration. From 2008-2012, they worked at Penguin Group USA as a Junior Designer and Design Assistant, designing book covers for the New American Library, Dutton, and Gotham imprints. Elizabeth also commissioned and directed artists, photographers, and designers independently to create covers. From 2012-2013, they worked at Sterling Publishing as a Book Designer for Children's Books, designing covers and interiors for a wide range of children's and young adult titles. In 2013, they began working at Hachette Book Group as an Assistant Art Director and Art Director, art directing, designing, and occasionally illustrating over 100 titles per year for the Grand Central, Forever, and Forever Yours (e-only) imprints. In 2019, they began working as an Assistant Art Director at Entangled Publishing.

Elizabeth Stokes attended Syracuse University from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration/Design. Prior to that, they attended Stafford High School.
