Thomas Orr

Thomas Orr has over 12 years of experience in the commercial and finance sectors. In 2020, they began working as the Commercial Manager for ENTOCYCLE. From 2017-2020, they held the same role at AgriProtein Technologies. In 2016, they took a break from work to travel and learn French and also worked as a Subcontracted Researcher for the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA). From 2013-2016, they were the Commercial Manager for African Parks Network. From 2008-2013, they worked at Standard Bank in various roles including Manager of the Leveraged and Acquisition Finance Team, Manager of the Energy, Utilities and Infrastructure Team, and Manager of the Industrial & Commercial Bank of China Project Team. In 2005, they worked as the China Representative for both the Centre For Chinese Studies and Frontier Advisory Deloitte.

Thomas Orr's education history includes studying Law, Political Science, and Economics at Stellenbosch University from 2001 to 2004, studying Chinese Language at Beijing Language and Culture University from 2005 to 2006, and completing a postgraduate finance program in Chinese at Peking University from 2006 to 2008. Additionally, they attended St. Andrew's College from 1997 to 2000 and Paul Roos in 1996. In 2009, they obtained a Chartered Financial Analyst certification from the CFA Institute.
