The Role

We are recruiting for a Digital Enablement Team Lead to drive our customer projects and manage the Digital Enablement team within Consulting.

Role Summary

Reporting to the Head of Consulting, the Digital Enablement Team Lead will perform a split role, where an average of 80% of the time will be spent working on customer projects, delivering tailored data and digital solutions, underpinned by technical best practices whilst delivering excellent customer experience. This in turn will support our clients to realise their business strategies and goals from a technical enablement perspective, resulting in measurable operational savings and generation of value through data and digital enablement.

In addition to the work on customer projects, an average of 20% of the time will be allocated to manage the digital enablement team where you will be responsible for the discrete line management and development of several team members, including the definition and creation of methods, accelerators and artefacts driving the consistency and innovation on client data and digital engagements.

Success in the role will be measured by a continuous increase of the team satisfaction and an expansion of the sales pipeline and associated headcount growth, driven by the successful adoption of methods, accelerators and artefacts in conjunction with the wider consulting team and marketing and sales department.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Full Ownership of the Digital Enablement projects for our clients

  • Lead delivery of digital enablement projects involving one or more domains from data engineering, digital engineering, software engineering or user and customer experience perspective.
  • Derive and articulate value of our digital enablement to transform client operations.
  • Orchestrate and coordinate the delivery of data and digital artefacts to meet discrete business and technical strategies, vision and business goals.
  • Deliver digital engineering projects, including, but not limited to: Product lifecycle management, asset management, simulations, digital twins and threads and dissemination of intelligence for improved situational awareness.
  • Deliver data engineering projects, including but not limited to: creation of data mesh type solutions, data quality, API creation, data processing and data management / cataloguing.
  • Drive and deliver effective customer research, resulting in innovative and engaging customer interfaces, driving an improvement in adoption and utilisation of products and solutions.
  • Lead and contribute to pre-sales engagements in digital enablement areas and domains.

Management of the Digital Enablement Team

  • Maintain line management and mentoring responsibilities for several Digital Enablement team members, measured through high engagement and satisfaction indicators.

  • Maintain regular touch base interactions with immediate line management, proactively and timely resolving any staff issues and or needs and support their career development.

  • Expand the consulting culture across the Digital Enablement team, driving a culture of cross and up-sell across the team as part of the client engagement and activities.

  • Develop a community of practice and establish cooperative ways of working, resulting in improved cross support between team members and an increase of success show case in external conferences.

  • Drive the creation of relevant frameworks, methods and accelerators (in conjunction with capability leads, marketing and sales team) resulting in a continued increase in efficiency of client Digital Enablement engagements resulting in an expansion of the work pipeline and associated team headcount.

  • Manage team capacity and drive forward hiring and capacity plans with head of consulting.

  • Support sales and marketing initiatives by raising the profile of the Digital Enablement team, its members and their associated experience.

  • Keep up to date with market and technological developments in our client base.

  • Attend training and actively seek to continually enhance understanding of Envitia’s products and value proposition.

  • Attend marketing events, team meetings, kick off meetings and functions as required.

Core Competencies

  • Industry Knowledge
    • Extensive knowledge of Envitia’s customer base with a deep understanding of the complexity and challenges they face.
    • Deep knowledge of secure and regulated environments, particularly Defence and Government departments.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Strong Digital Engineering knowledge and experience, ranging from simulations, PLM solutions, digital twins and threads and situational awareness.
    • Large knowledge and experience of Data engineering, data curation and data sharing, including data management and data catalogues.
    • Large knowledge and experience in managing requirements and implementing innovative and responsive UI’s.
    • Experience of Data Modelling and Analytics solutions and platforms.
    • Large experience in data visualisation solutions and platforms, ranging from dashboarding tools to 3d visualisation platforms
    • Experience in one or more data modelling approach (RDBMS, NOSQL) & integration methods (REST, SOAP).
    • Large experience in at least one cloud provider (AWS / Azure / GCP).
    • Experience in an Architect role would be desirable.
