Lead Flight Test Engineer at Epic Aircraft

Jake Jacot has a diverse work experience in the aviation industry. Jake started their career as an Educational Instructor at Hiller Aviation Museum in 2008 and worked there until 2011. Jake then joined Scaled Composites as a Design Engineer and worked on various projects including aircraft structures and flight control design for Northrop Grumman's bid for the TX trainer program and SpaceShipTwo rocket motor structural testing. Jake worked at Scaled Composites until 2015. In 2015, Jake joined Lancair International as an Engineer for a year. Since 2016, they have been working at Epic Aircraft. Jake started as a Design Engineer and wrote FAA approved structural analysis reports and performed structural testing. Jake then became a Flight Test Engineer and was responsible for the initial Part 23 type certification of the E1000, including flight planning, instrumentation, and test plan writing. Currently, they hold the position of Lead Flight Test Engineer at Epic Aircraft.

Jake Jacot attended Cañada College from 2006 to 2008, where they studied Math, Engineering, and Science. After that, they pursued a degree in Aerospace Engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 2008 to 2011. Jake also obtained certifications from the Federal Aviation Administration, including an Instrument Rating (ASEL) and a Private Pilot license (ASEL).
