Henrik Melin

Henrik Melin has extensive work experience in the field of data science. Henrik began their career as a Business Analyst at Micronic-Mydata in 2011 and later worked as an R&D Analyst at Scania. Henrik then worked as a BI-Consultant at Knowit Decision, where they worked on projects related to Big Data and SAS.

In 2014, Henrik joined Datawatch/Panopticon as a Quantitative Analyst Expert, where they developed predictive tools using R and Python. Henrik also worked on projects involving real-time visualization.

Henrik then worked as a Data Scientist at Statcon, where they built prototypes for Internet of Things projects. In their role, they utilized classification trees, boosted classification trees, and neural networks.

From 2016 to 2021, Henrik worked as a Data Scientist at Trygg-Hansa, where they gained experience in the insurance industry.

Henrik also worked as a Senior Data Scientist on a freelance basis at Handelsbanken. In this role, they focused on mortgage modeling and utilized various technologies such as Py, DB2, and Insights drive.

Henrik later joined Introir Psychometrics as a Principal Data Scientist, where they focused on commercial implementation of basic research around HR and staff appraisal.

Most recently, Henrik worked as the Acting Senior Manager Data Services at Wallenius Wilhelmsen, where they played a key role in managing data services.

Henrik is currently working as the Lead Data Scientist at EPICO-IT, where they are responsible for leading data science initiatives.

Henrik Melin completed their education at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden. Henrik first pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Materials Polymer from 2002 to 2010. During this time, they also worked as a Phd student focusing on Nanostructured surfaces. In 2014, they obtained additional certifications in Machine Learning and R Programming from Coursera.
