Ellen Weinzapfel, PhD

Ellen Weinzapfel, PhD, has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Ellen currently works at EpiCypher, Inc. as a Senior Product Manager and Marketing & Content Lead. Prior to this, they held the position of Product Manager and Marketing & Content Lead at the same company. Ellen also served as the Manager of Product Innovation. Before joining EpiCypher, Inc., Ellen worked as a Scientific Grant Writer and Scientific Writer at EpiCypher, Inc. Ellen also had a period of self-employment where they worked as a Freelance Blogger and Writer, focusing on the research project of Dr. Elizabeth Stern. In addition, they have worked at The Jackson Laboratory as a Blogger, where they wrote about postdoctoral career development and women in science. At the same company, they also worked as a Postdoctoral Associate, focusing on the characterization of long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) involved in asthma pathogenesis. Ellen also had the opportunity to lead a journal club for undergraduates and high school students during the summer.

Ellen Weinzapfel, PhD, completed their education in a chronological order. From 2006 to 2010, they attended Indiana University Bloomington, where they received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology, with a focus on Neuroscience. Later, from 2010 to 2015, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cell and Molecular Biology, Developmental Biology at the University of Pennsylvania.
