Yana Nesterova

Yana Nesterova has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Yana is currently working at Epidemic Sound as a UX Research Lead, which they started in October 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Arival Bank as a Senior User Experience Researcher from May 2021 to February 2022.

Before their role at Arival Bank, Yana held several positions at Sberbank. Yana served as a Lead UX Researcher from November 2019 to February 2022, where they collaborated with a product team to develop a voice assistant for over 25 million clients. Yana also worked as a Product Manager, responsible for launching a login feature using QR code and push notifications. In this role, they successfully implemented the feature with 10 million active users. Yana started their journey at Sberbank as a User Experience Researcher from September 2018 to May 2019.

Yana has also contributed to the field of education. Yana worked as a Design Lecturer at Netology-group (EdTech) from January 2019 to August 2020. Additionally, they served as a Guest Lecturer at the Higher School of Economics from January 2019 to May 2019. Yana also had a short-term role as an Associate Curator at Bauman Technical University in February 2019.

Furthermore, Yana has experience working with UIDG as a UX Researcher from March 2017 to September 2018. In this role, they conducted various user studies and implemented a range of research methods. Yana played a crucial role in nurturing the culture of UX research in the team.

Lastly, Yana started their career in marketing as a Marketing Specialist at VGTRK from September 2014 to February 2018.

Yana Nesterova holds a Master's degree in Corporate Research, Development and Innovation Management from the State University — Higher School of Economics, which they obtained from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Finance and Financial Management Services at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics from 2013 to 2018. Yana also obtained an Associate's degree in UX/UI Design from the State University — Higher School of Economics in 2017 and 2018. In addition to their formal education, Yana Nesterova has several certifications, including Introduction to System Dynamics from MIT Sloan School of Management, Leading For Creativity from IDEO, and Applied Strategic Foresight from the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies.
