Kyle Washabaugh

Kyle Washabaugh has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Kyle is currently working as a Senior Principal ML Engineer at Epirus since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Amazon as a Sr. Applied Scientist in Navigation from 2018 to 2022, where they also held the role of Applied Scientist in Simulation. At Amazon, they contributed to the development of autonomous robots and the use of ultra-realistic simulations for prototyping, training, and validation. Before joining Amazon, Kyle worked at Boeing as a Loads and Dynamics Engineer from 2016 to 2018, and as an Engineering Intern from 2009 to 2013.

Kyle Washabaugh has a strong education background in the field of engineering and aeronautics. Kyle obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University in 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (MS) in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University in 2010. Their undergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from Yale University, which they completed in 2008. In addition, they hold a Private Pilot Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration, obtained in 2009.
