Chris Gentile

Vice President, Tactical Autonomous Systems at EpiSci

Chris Gentile has a diverse work experience, starting in 2003 in the United States Air Force as an F-15E pilot. Chris then moved on to become an F-22 instructor pilot and later a division commander/operational test pilot for F-22 modernization efforts. In 2011, they became a student test pilot and in 2012, they served as an F-22 experimental test pilot.

Chris also has experience outside the military. In 2014, they worked as a USAF Service Chief's Fellow at DARPA, where they acted as a liaison for warfighter integration across various R&D programs. From 2014 to 2017, they held multiple roles in the United States Air Force, including program manager and chief of warfighter integration, and commander and director of the unmanned aircraft system production, test, and sustainment detachment.

From 2018 to 2019, Chris worked as the head of hardware R&D at Neuville Grid Data. Since 2019, they have been a technical consultant at CG Tech Concepts, providing expertise in team management, software architecture development, cybersecurity, and test & evaluation for innovative companies. In 2020, they took on a new role as the vice president of tactical autonomous systems at EpiSys Science, Inc.

Chris Gentile earned a BS degree in Astronautical Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy in 2000. Later, they pursued higher education and obtained an MS degree in Aerospace Engineering from North Carolina State University, which they completed between 2005 and 2008. In 2011, Chris attended the USAF Test Pilot School, where they earned another MS degree, this time in Flight Test Engineering.
