Johan Kritzinger

Johan Kritzinger has over 20 years of work experience. Johan started their career in 1999 as a System Manager at the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry in Mpumalanga. In 2001, they moved to Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Service as an IT Manager, IT Infrastructure Architect, and IT Infrastructure Analyst. In 2014, they became a IT Infrastructure Engineer (Contract) at Redeem Ltd and a Director at JK IT Ltd. In 2017, they were a Cloud Engineer (Contract) at Tesco Bank, and in 2018, they were a DevOps Consultant (Contract) at RBS. In 2019, they were a DevOps Cloud Engineer (Contract) at Modulr, and in 2020, they became a DevOps Consultant at Episode Six. In this role, they created AWS organisation structure, accounts, shared services, EKS cluster and kubernetes deployment for their software systems for testing, demo, reference architecture as well as hosting as a PaaS solution in various parts of the world. Johan has used a wide range of technologies and AWS services, including organizations, transit gateways, EKS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Python, bash, mysql, cassandra, Jenkins, packer, etc.

Johan Kritzinger attended the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria from 1989 to 1995, where they obtained an MSc in Zoology and Ecology. Prior to that, they attended Silverton from 1984 to 1988.
