Jim Vanderweide, PMP, CSM

Jim Vanderweide, PMP, CSM has extensive work experience in project management and technology solutions. Jim is currently serving as a Project Manager in the Program Management Office at Epoch Solutions Group since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Project Manager at American Innovations from 2020 to 2022, where they standardized project management practices and established a Project Management Office (PMO) for technical services. Jim also served as an Operations Manager, coordinating the delivery of client services.

Before their role at American Innovations, Vanderweide worked at Tallgrass Energy from 2019 to 2020 as an IT Business Partner - Field Operations. In this position, they provided strategic business consultation, owned executive-level relationships, and worked to converge IT and Field functions' value streams.

From 2003 to 2019, Vanderweide worked at Trihydro Corporation as a Technology Solutions Lead/Project Manager. During their tenure, they were responsible for leading and managing technology projects within the company. Jim'srole included GIS analysis and development, designing GIS systems for environmental engineering projects, and managing various software integration projects.

Prior to their time at Trihydro Corporation, Vanderweide worked at HNTB as a Corporate GIS Manager and IT Project Manager from 2000 to 2003. In this role, they managed software projects, developed federal asset management applications, integrated GIS and other technologies for watershed planning and management, and coordinated IT projects for a large capital improvement project.

Vanderweide began their career as a GIS Analyst/Developer at Trihydro Corporation in 1999, where they helped establish GIS services within the company and designed GIS systems for environmental engineering projects. Before that, they worked as a GIS Developer at the City of Kansas City, Missouri from 1998 to 1999, developing custom GIS software for the city's Planning and Development Department. Jim also gained experience as a GIS Analyst and Technician at MJ Harden, a GeoEye Company, from 1996 to 1998.

Jim Vanderweide, PMP, CSM obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from Kansas State University, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. In addition to their undergraduate degree, they have earned several certifications. Jim obtained their Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in March 2019. Jim also holds a Scrum Master Certified (SMC) certification from the Scrum Alliance, which they obtained in October 2022. Furthermore, they obtained a GISP (Geographic Information Systems Professional) certification from the GIS Certification Institute in March 2015.
