From 2015 to 2019, they were a Postgraduate Student at the University of Cambridge, where they completed their PhD in Biochemistry. Vincentius Aji's thesis focused on biochemical and structural studies of human DNA replication protein complexes and was fully funded by Gates Cambridge Scholarship. In 2014, they were a Summer Research Student at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, where they worked on a project to modify the CRISPR/Cas9 system for enhancing gene expression in mouse models, fully funded by the Amgen Scholarship Programme.
