Security Architect (contract) at Equal Experts

Rich Seller has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Rich most recently worked as a DevSecOps Engineer on a contract basis for Tesco and Equal Experts in 2019. Prior to that, Rich held various roles at HSBC. From 2013 to 2018, they served as the Global Lead Mobile Architect, responsible for the full stack functional and security architecture for mobile applications across Retail Banking. Rich introduced Devops and spearheaded the transformation to a hybrid micro-service architecture. From 2011 to 2013, Rich worked as a Mobile Architect, contributing to the HSBC mobile strategy and consulting on global mobile projects. As a Solution Architect from 2005 to 2011, they worked with development and operational infrastructure teams to define the group standard build and deployment process. From 2003 to 2005, Rich served as a Technical Lead, leading a development team and delivering web interfaces and Eclipse-based interfaces. Finally, from 2000 to 2003, they worked as a Senior Developer at HSBC, where they migrated C-based systems to Java web applications. Throughout their career, Rich has demonstrated expertise in security architecture, Devops, mobile strategy, and system integration.

Rich Seller attended The University of Sheffield from 1996 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering. In addition to their degree, they have also obtained two certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate (SAA) from Amazon Web Services in January 2019, and AWS Certified Security - Specialty (SCS) from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in July 2019.
