Kevin Somers

Kevin Somers has a diverse work experience in software development and engineering roles. Kevin is currently working as a Senior Backend Engineer at EquityZen since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked at VNDLY Inc as a Senior Software Developer from October 2020 to January 2022. Kevin also worked at Kinetic Vision as a Software Developer II from May 2019 to October 2020.

Before transitioning into software development, Kevin gained experience at GE Aviation where they held multiple roles. Kevin started as a Test Engineering Technician from May 2013 to January 2015, then served as a Data System Technician from January 2015 to July 2016. Finally, they worked as a Test Engineer from August 2016 to August 2017 before becoming a Software Specialist from August 2017 to May 2019. During their time at GE Aviation, they were responsible for developing software applications, participating in the software development life-cycle process, and providing end-user support.

Kevin Somers attended Joliet Junior College from 2007 to 2009, where they obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Associates of Science. Following this, they attended Cincinnati State Technical and Community College from 2011 to 2013, earning an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology - Design.

Most recently, Kevin pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Software Engineering at Arizona State University from 2017 to 2022.
