Alan Vest

Alan Vest has been working in the research and pharmaceutical industry since 2005. Alan began their career at Charles River Laboratories as an Animal Care Technician in 2005 and was promoted to Assistant Supervisor of Gnotobiotics and Special Service Technician in 2008. In 2006, they took on the role of Lab Manager at New York University. In 2017, they joined Yoh, A Day & Zimmermann Company as a Research Associate. In 2018, they were hired as an Associate Scientist at Receptos, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Celgene, and also held the role of Senior Research Associate 2 and Senior Research Associate 3 at Escient Pharmaceuticals.

Alan Vest obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Environmental Studies and Studio Art from Knox College in 2004. In 2009, they obtained a Laboratory Animal Technologist certification from the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science. In 2014, they obtained a Certified Manager of Animal Resources certification from the Institute for Certified Professional Managers and American Association for Laboratory Animal Science. Alan also has an edX Verified Certificate for Introduction to R for Data Science.
