Alan Turpin has a diverse work experience spanning from 2003 to the present. Alan started their career as a Voluntary Placement Student at the University of Ulster, where they designed and developed an attendance monitoring system for lecturers and worked on various projects. Alan then worked as a Lab Demonstrator at the same university from 2009 to 2011.

In 2012, Alan joined Randox as a Software Engineer. After two years, they joined CEM Systems Ltd in 2014 as an Integration Engineer, where they worked until 2019. During their time at CEM Systems Ltd, they gained expertise in integration engineering.

Alan's most recent experience includes working at ESO since 2019. Alan started as a Software Engineer and progressed to the role of Senior Software Development Engineer in 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Staff Software Engineer at ESO.

Alan Turpin completed their Associate Batchelor's Degree in Computing at Ulster University in 2003. From 2003 to 2008, they pursued their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computing at the same institution. Alan then went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Image Processing and Ophthalmology from Ulster University, where they studied from 2008 to 2012.
