Rick Garr

Rick Garr has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Rick is currently working as a Customer Marketing Manager/SME at ESO since October 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Head Coach for the Central Kentucky Storm starting in June 2021. Rick also worked as an Assistant Coach for the West Jessamine High School Girls Soccer team since May 2019.

In terms of medical and emergency services, Rick has experience as a Trauma Extremity employee at Stryker from June 2022 to October 2022. Rick previously served as a Paramedic and Firefighter at the Lexington Fire Department in Kentucky from May 2016 to June 2022. During their tenure there, they were appointed Acting Officer Emergency Care Unit for one of the top 50 busiest ambulances in the USA. Rick also served as a Level III Educator for the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services (KBEMS) and as a Peer Support Team Platoon Leader.

Rick's previous roles include being a Sales and Supply Chain Manager at Advent Signs & Neon from June 2007 to June 2022. Rick was responsible for maintaining relationships with key clients and ensuring a regular supply of needed products. Rick also performed lead generation and managed the installation process from quoting to sign off. Prior to that, they owned and operated Firehouse Swag from June 2016 to September 2018. As the owner, they successfully raised funds for the Ibarra Fire Department in Ecuador and donated 100% of the profits.

Rick also held the position of Union President at the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) from July 2015 to July 2016. In addition, they worked as a Paramedic at Winchester Fire-EMS from February 2011 to April 2016, where they served as the Acting Officer Emergency Care Unit and acted as a Recruit Physical Readiness Instructor to develop a fitness and readiness program.

Lastly, Rick served as a Lieutenant at the Wilmore Fire Department from August 2009 to April 2016. In this role, they headed the SOP Committee, coordinated daily operations, and delegated tasks to various teams.

Rick Garr completed an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Physical Sciences from Columbia Southern University, graduating in 2021. Prior to this, they obtained a NREMT Paramedic License from Emergency Medical Training Professionals, completing their studies in Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT Paramedic) in 2012. In addition, Rick Garr holds various certifications, including a National Registered Paramedic (NRP) license obtained from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians in September 2012. Rick also has certifications as an Acredited Interscholastic Coach from the National Federation of State High School Associations, and as an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Experienced Provider (ACLS) from the American Heart Association. Furthermore, Rick Garr has certifications as a Certified Interscholastic Coach from the National Federation of State High School Associations, an EMS Lead Instructor from the National Association of EMS Educators (NAEMSE), an EMS Lead Instructor LEVEL 3 from the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services, a Fire Instructor Level 1 from the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress, and as an Instructor from the American Heart Association. Additionally, they hold certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association and a US Soccer Coach D License from US Youth Soccer.
