Han-Jie Zhou

Han-Jie Zhou has a significant work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Han-Jie is currently working at ESSA Pharma as the SVP of Chemistry & CMC since August 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of VP of Chemistry & CMC at ESSA Pharma from March 2018 to August 2021.

Before joining ESSA Pharma, Han-Jie Zhou worked at Cleave Biosciences, Inc. Their roles at Cleave Biosciences included VP of Chemistry and CMC from January 2018 to March 2018, Senior Director of Chemistry from an unspecified date to December 2017, and Director of Chemistry from an unspecified date to 2014.

Han-Jie also has experience working at PPD as an Associate Director from 2010 to 2011. Prior to that, they worked at Proteolix as a Group Leader from 2004 to 2009 and at Cytokinetics as a Scientist from 2000 to 2004.

Han-Jie Zhou received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in an undisclosed field of study from Nanjing Normal University in 1990. Han-Jie then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Organic Chemistry from Nankai University between 1990 and 1993. Following this, they earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, completing their studies between 1994 and 1997. Subsequently, Zhou engaged in postdoctoral research at Florida State University from 1998 to 2001, focusing on Organic Synthetic Chemistry.
