Catalina Zuniga

Catalina Zuniga has had a diverse range of work experience. Catalina started their career as Jefatura de Servicios Hospitalarios at Hospital Hotel La Catolica from December 2012 to January 2017. In this role, they led medical and administrative staff, coordinated interdisciplinary teams, and managed medical functions and workloads.

Following this, Catalina worked as Coordinadora Cardiovascular at DA Medica de Costa Rica from May 2017 to March 2021. Here, they were responsible for leading clinical and support personnel, specializing in hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac valves.

From June 2021 to October 2022, Catalina was an Especialista clinica at Sumedical Medical Supplies, bringing their clinical expertise to the organization.

In 2016, they joined Universidad Autonoma de CentroAmerica as Evaluadora de pruebas de grado, evaluating degree tests until January 2023.

Currently, Catalina works at Establishment Labs since October 2022. Catalina started as a Medical Education Coordinator and then transitioned to the role of Medical Education Project Specialist from July 2023.

Catalina Zuniga's education history begins in 2007 when they attended Universidad de Costa Rica UCR. Catalina completed their Licenciatura in Enfermería from 2007 to 2012. In 2018, they enrolled at Universidad Santa Paula and obtained a Maestría in Cuidados paliativos, which they completed in 2020. In 2017, they attended Universidad Hispanoamericana (CR) for a Formación en Terapia Endovascular, which lasted for one year. In 2022, they took a Curso de actualización in Farmacovigilancia at Colegio de Enfermeras de Costa Rica. Additionally, from 2022 to 2027, they earned a Certificado de autorización como subinvestigador in Investigación biomedica from Consejo Nacional de Investigación en Salud.
