Colin Farrelly

Colin Farrelly has a diverse work experience in the field of software development and engineering. Colin started their career as a Software Developer at Pramerica, where they worked on a Java-based enterprise compensation engine. Colin also carried out configuration management and automation tasks.

Later, they joined Quinn-Insurance as an Application Support/Java Software Developer, overseeing the upgrade of various production systems and developing custom tools.

Colin then worked at SITA as a Senior Developer, where they contributed to projects such as AMS Core, KMS, and Remote Certification. Colin was involved in developing airport management solutions, a kiosk management system, and a virtual environment for airlines.

Colin also had a short-term role as a Software Developer at WorkBridge, where they were stationed in Copenhagen and retrained in .NET development.

At Cora Systems, Colin served as a Development Lead and played a key role in upgrading the development business unit from a Waterfall methodology to Agile. Colin implemented CI/CD via TFS2015+ and PowerShell, migrated the codebase to Git, and automated the deployment process using PowerShell.

Currently, Colin is working at eShopWorld as a Lead Azure DevOps Engineer, responsible for leading the team in Azure DevOps engineering tasks.

Colin Farrelly completed their education history with a MSc in DevOps from the Letterkenny Institute of Technology in 2020. Colin'searlier education includes completing the Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate from Carrigallen Vocational School between 1996 and 2001. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance, which was obtained in 2011.
