Gareth Light

Gareth Light has extensive work experience in various roles within the logistics and supply chain industry. Gareth is currently the Senior Director of Logistics Sourcing and Solutions at ESW, where they have been working since August 2023. Prior to this, Gareth worked as the Director of logistics solutions at ESW and as the Head Of Supply Chain Solutions, where they worked from June 2021 to February 2023. Before joining ESW, Gareth was a Senior Program Manager at Amazon from June 2020 to June 2021. Gareth also worked at Aramex, where they held multiple roles including Global e-commerce Solutions Manager from November 2018 to June 2020 and Business Solutions Manager Europe and North America from October 2016 to January 2019. Gareth's earlier experience includes roles at Aramex South Africa as an Operations Manager from August 2013 to November 2014 and as a Business Analyst from January 2013 to August 2013. Gareth also has an athletic background as a scholarship rugby player at Stellenbosch University from January 2009 to November 2012 and as a rugby player at The Sharks (Pty) Ltd from January 2007 to October 2008.

Gareth Light has a Bachelor of Commerce Honours (BCommHons) degree in Logistics Management from Stellenbosch University, which they obtained from 2009 to 2012. Gareth also completed an Executive Development program at The Wharton School in 2019. In 2018, they attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) for an MBA Essentials course. Gareth has additional certifications in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from PEEC - Productivity Engineering Europe Corporation in 2016 and Disrupting Yourself from Lynda.com in 2017.
