Dr. William Scherrer earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at University of California, Davis, and then completed an internship at Texas A&M University. He returned to UC Davis for his residency, and became board certified in surgery. He’s been practicing since 2007. Dr. Scherrer’s professional interests focus on chronic wound management, surgical oncology, trauma care and surgery. He has also assisted with treatments at the Jaguar rescue in Costa Rica and participated in the PBS documentary A Sloth Named Velcro.
Outside of veterinary medicine he participates in obstacle/mud races and enjoys adventures with his daughter and wife.
