Jose M Travesi

Jose M Travesi has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Jose M began their career in 1983 as a Financial Controller at the Spanish Ministry of Defense and held this position for over 20 years until May 2004. From 2004 to 2011, they worked as a Senior Finance Adviser at the European Union Police Mission. In 2012, they joined the Spanish Ministry of Defense again, this time as a Financial Controller and Teacher of International Relations at the Spanish Naval Academy. Jose M also worked as an Internal Auditor at the University Centre of Defense in the Spanish Naval Academy during this time. In 2013, they joined EUMETSAT as a Financial Controller, where they are currently employed.

In 1975, they began their undergraduate studies at Universidad Pontificia Comillas, where they earned a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in Law and Business Administration in 1982.

In 1983 and 1984, they pursued postgraduate studies in Financial control at Academia de Intervencion del Ejercito del Aire.

In 1992, they completed Capacitacion ascenso Comandante, a training program in Management - Financial control, at Escuela Militar de Intervencion - Ministerio de Defensa.

In 1994, they attended Escuela Militar de Intervencion - Ministerio de Defensa to study Public Procurement.

In 1998, they studied Audit at Escuela Militar de Intervencion - Ministerio de Defensa.

In 2000, they pursued Financial and Budget Management at Instituto de Estudios Fiscales - Ministerio de Hacienda.

In 2003, they completed the EU Course of Specialization on Organising Civilian Administration at Danish Public Administration School, and also studied EU Course in Civil Crisis Management at Zentrum fur Internazionales Friedensintsalze.

Lastly, in 2011, they attended Netherlands Institute of International Relations Cligendael for an EU Course in Security Sector Reform.
