Joost Ligthart

Joost Ligthart has extensive work experience in the hospitality industry. Joost currently serves as the Regional Director of Operations Benelux at EuroParcs. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Operations (COO) at JVH gaming & entertainment, where they were responsible for operational excellence and the profitability of 85 casinos and arcades in the Netherlands. Joost also held the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Fitland Groep, managing various aspects of hotels, wellness, beauty, sports, and health. Joost has served in roles such as Interim Manager and Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Van den Tweel Hospitality Group and Golden Tulip/ EHP hotels, respectively. Joost's career also includes roles as a General Manager at Landal Resort Hof van Saksen and ****NH Hotel Sparrenhorst. Joost began their career as a Deputy General Manager at the Hollandse Club Singapore.

Joost Ligthart obtained a Master's degree in Hotel Management/Administration from Stenden University Leeuwarden, which they completed from 1988 to 1992. Prior to that, from 1986 to 1988, they attended MEAO De Factoor Zwolle, where they studied Business Economics and Administration. Joost completed their high school education at Christelijk College Groevenbeek from 1981 to 1986. Additionally, Joost has acquired several certifications, including Presentatie technieken from Mercuri International, Primary Certificate for Food Handlers from the Institute of Health & Safety, Sociale Hygiëne from SVH (Stichting Vakbekwaamheid Horeca), Team Effectiveness and leadershipskills from the National University of Singapore Entrepreneurship Society, and a variety of management courses from Dale Carnegie.
