Soha El-Turky

VP & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at EBRD

Soha El-Turky is the EBRD’s Vice President, Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

A national of Egypt, Ms El-Turky took up her position at the start of February 2020.

She is a member of the EBRD’s Executive Committee, the Bank’s most senior management team, the first to be appointed from the EBRD’s southern and eastern Mediterranean region.

Ms El-Turky joined the EBRD from Banque du Caire, where she had been CFO since April 2018, based in Cairo.

She previously worked at Barclays, where she spent nearly eight years in various executive roles, including that of Corporate Banking CFO, based in the United Kingdom. Before Barclays she worked at Citi, which she joined in 1999.

She has worked in both the UK and Egypt, with experience in finance, business development and risk management.

She graduated from the American University in Cairo in 1994, majoring in Business Administration. She completed an MBA at the same university in 1998.

Ms El-Turky also received an Executive Diploma in Financial Strategy from Oxford University in 2014.
