Gaetano Marrone is an expert in biostatistics with extensive experience in global health. Currently serving as an expert at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) since April 2021, Gaetano also holds the position of associate professor in Global Health and biostatistician, PhD, at Karolinska Institutet, where involvement spans back to June 2010. Ownership of a statistical consultancy company has enabled Gaetano to provide services in study design, data management, analysis, and manuscript writing since October 2014. Further roles include biostatistician for the Department of Infectious Disease at Karolinska Hospital and previously as a consultant and researcher throughout various positions and academic pursuits. Gaetano obtained a PhD in Public Health from University of Pavia and a Master's degree in Statistical from Bari University.
