Zuriñe Hernández Marcos

Zuri G. currently serves as an Associate Consultant at AC Disaster Consulting, having started in April 2023. Previously, Zuri held various research and teaching roles at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, including Transportation Graduate Research Assistant and Public Policy Graduate Research Assistant. Zuri's experience also includes consultancy work in equity and preparedness research at Appalachian State University. Prior to these academic positions, Zuri taught grade 2 at Austin Independent School District and worked as a community organizer with Workers Defense Project. Zuri's educational background encompasses a Master of City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master's in Geography and Planning from Appalachian State University, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Applied Science - Education from The University of Texas at Austin.
