Louis Meuleman currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Scientific Committee at the European Environment Agency and holds positions as a member of the same committee. Since April 2002, Louis has been the Director of Public Strategy for Sustainable Development. Louis is also an Associate Senior Expert at Berenschot and plays an active role in the United Nations as Vice Chair and Member of the Committee of Experts on Public Administration. As a Visiting Professor, Louis contributes to KU Leuven and the Public Governance Institute, where teaching responsibilities are part of a part-time affiliation. Additional teaching efforts are made as a Research Associate at Wageningen UR. Louis holds the role of Vice Chair for the PvdA in Brussels/Belgium. Until December 2020, Louis worked with the European Commission's DG Environment, coordinating the Environmental Implementation Review initiative and other programs. Louis earned a PhD from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
