DR. Md. Saifur Rahman is a distinguished researcher with extensive experience in forest and climate change policy. Currently serving as a Visiting Researcher at Technische Universität Dresden and the European Forest Institute, DR. Rahman also holds the position of Alexander von Humboldt Post-Doctoral Fellow, focusing on forest and climate change policy, development policy analysis, and mangrove management. Previous roles include Senior Assistant Secretary/Chief at the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change in Bangladesh, where DR. Rahman engaged in development project appraisal and negotiations with development actors. Educational qualifications include a PhD on forest and climate change policy from The University of Göttingen, and a Master’s degree from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies.
