Lukas Mandl

Lukas Mandl serves as a Member of the European Parliament since November 2017, holding positions such as Chair of the Delegation for relations with the Korean Peninsula and Vice-Chair of the Subcommittee on Security and Defence. Mandl is involved in multiple committees including Foreign Affairs, Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs, and the Special Committee on Foreign Interference in Democratic Processes. Additionally, Mandl is the Vice President for Enlargement & Neighbourhood Policy and Vice-President for Institutional Affairs at the Assembly of European Regions, with a focus on relations with EU neighboring countries and cooperation with EU institutions. Previous roles include Vice Mayor of Gerasdorf, Member of the State Parliament of Lower Austria, and a lecturer at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Mandl's educational background includes a Mag.phil. in Journalism and Communication Sciences from the University of Vienna.
