Katerina Antoniou

Head Of ILD Assembly 12 at European Respiratory Society

Katerina Antoniou has a diverse range of work experience in the field of respiratory medicine. Katerina currently serves as the Head of ILD Assembly 12 at the European Respiratory Society since 2021. Previously, they held the position of Associate Professor in Respiratory Medicine at the University General Hospital of Heraklion "PAGNI" starting from 2018. From 2006 to 2018, they worked at the Respiratory Medicine department of the University of Heraklion, holding various roles such as Assistant Professor, Lecturer, and Pre-lecturer. Katerina also served as the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Crete from 2015 to 2017. Additionally, they have held leadership positions at the European Respiratory Society and the Hellenic Thoracic Society, specifically in the ILD (Interstitial Lung Disease) field. In 2005, they worked as an Honorary Clinical Research Fellow at the Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust.

Katerina Antoniou received their Bachelor's degree in Medicine from Medical School, Naples University. Katerina later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Intersitial Lung Diseases and Respiratory Medicine at Medical School, University of Crete.
