Ian D. Merritt

Ian D. Merritt is an experienced creative professional specializing in visual arts, with a focus on photography and filmmaking. Currently serving as a Visual Arts Teacher at the Latin School of Chicago and as Teaching Faculty in Photography at the Evanston Art Center, Merritt also operates Merritt Creative, LLC, where over 20 years of expertise as a creative director, producer, educator, and photographer is leveraged to produce visual content for diverse clients. As Executive Producer at Go To Productions, Merritt combines extensive production experience to develop projects that bridge live theatre and film. Previous roles include Creative Director at INFINITI Motor Company, where significant visual assets were created for global communications, and a leadership position at Cars.com, managing production for multiple brands. Merritt holds a Master’s Degree in Art Education from The Ohio State University and additional education in photography and American Studies from recognized institutions.
