Platon Efstathiadis

Platon Efstathiadis has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their role as a Communication Systems and Switchboard Operator in the Hellenic Army from October 2011 to July 2012. Platon then took on an internship as a System Administrator Assistant at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Ioannina from February 2011 to July 2011, where they gained experience in computer system administration and maintenance, student support, and web development.

Following their internships, Platon worked as a Mobile Application Developer at Sense Observation Systems in October 2013, where they successfully developed an iOS platform application for personal activity and health tracking. Platon also enhanced the company's main iOS library for providing advanced sensing capabilities.

From August 2015 to December 2017, Platon worked as an Embedded Software Engineer at Applied Micro Electronics "AME" B.V., where they were involved in embedded software development for various products. Platon utilized V-model and Model-based design methodologies and worked with STM8 and STM32 microcontrollers.

In January 2018, Platon joined ASML as a Software Design Engineer, focusing on software development for ASML products in a complex multidisciplinary environment. Platon utilized Agile Scrum development methodology, created clear requirements, made efficient design choices, and wrote clean and reusable code.

Platon's most recent role is with EVBox, where they started as an Embedded Software Engineer in October 2018, and progressed to Senior Embedded Software Engineer in January 2020. In these roles, they focused on the implementation of key E-Mobility communication standards such as ISO15118, IEC61851, EEBUS, and OCPP. Platon also defined and implemented Smart Charging use cases. Currently, they serve as the Principal Embedded Software Engineer, bringing their expertise to the role.

Platon Efstathiadis completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science at the University of Ioannina from 2006 to 2011. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Embedded Systems at the Delft University of Technology from 2012 to 2015. In May 2019, Platon obtained additional certifications in Advanced and Basic training on Charging Communication with ISO 15118 from CharIN e.V.
