Desmond Cheong

Desmond Cheong is a software engineer currently working at Eventual since July 2024, with previous experience at Databricks from July 2022 to June 2024. Desmond has also held various teaching roles at Brown University, including Head Teaching Assistant for the Database Management Systems course and Teaching Assistant for Data Engineering and Probability for Computing and Data Analysis. Additional experience includes a Linux Kernel internship at The Linux Foundation, a Data Science internship at INTELLLEX, a Business Development internship at Findify, and part-time course instruction at Tinkertanker. Desmond served as a Specialist and Tank Leader in the Singapore Armed Forces from January 2016 to November 2017. Desmond holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Brown University and completed the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level at Raffles Institution.
