Karin Fernandez

Karin Fernandez has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Karin started their career as a Hydraulic Engineer at EAST Aqueduct, where they were involved in creating and maintaining budgets for rehabilitation projects in the drinking water and sewage networks. Karin also supervised on-field projects, ensuring compliance with project plans and guidelines.

After their role at EAST Aqueduct, Karin worked as a Passenger Service Agent at Swissport USA. In this position, they performed check-in procedures for passengers and bags in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating a high level of accuracy in complying with global visa regulations.

Karin then transitioned to the tech industry, joining EveryMundo as a Junior Web Developer. Karin wrote software documentation for their micro-service architecture and supported the Product Analytics team by creating an event tracking library. Karin also developed scripts to optimize component loading for client applications. Karin later became a Web Developer, leading a team of engineers and developing new features for client implementations using existent components and fetching data from supplier APIs. In their most recent role at EveryMundo, Karin served as a Senior Web Developer, responsible for developing a comprehensive marketplace and coordinating with project managers to meet client needs.

Karin Fernandez completed an Associate of Science - AS in Full Stack Web Development at Ironhack in the year 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering - BE in Hydraulic Engineering from Instituto Superior Politécnico José Antonio Echeverria, which they attended from 2005 to 2010. In addition, Karin obtained a certification in Fundamentals of digital marketing from Google in May 2023.
