Certification and Requirements Manager at Eviation

Jason Hochstein has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Jason is currently the Certification and Requirements Manager at Eviation Aircraft, where they align team priorities with company objectives and manages certification work packages. Jason also cultivates and manages relationships with civil aviation authorities. Prior to this, Jason worked at Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation as a Team Lead, Engineering Manager, and Acting Group Lead in the Continued Airworthiness Group. Jason developed policies, processes, and tools for managing type design change approvals, supported certification activities for Mitsubishi SpaceJet 90, and managed continued airworthiness aspects of the company's change management system. Jason also worked at BOMBARDIER as an Occupant Safety & Certification Engineer and an Airworthiness Engineer, where they facilitated certification activities, managed continuing airworthiness projects, and liaised with government authorities. Earlier in their career, they worked at OHB System as a Systems Design Engineer and at the European Space Agency as a Systems Safety Engineer and a Biomedical Engineer. Lastly, Jason interned at NASA as a Research Engineer, where they researched astronaut finger injuries during EVA tasks and developed a database on NASA astronaut injuries. Jason also worked as an Assistant Researcher at Four Medicines Consulting Ltd., conducting GIS mapping and interviewing Native elders.

Jason Hochstein earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Aerospace Engineering: Structures, Systems, and Vehicle Design from Carleton University, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. In 2007, they furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Science degree in Space Studies from the International Space University, which they completed in 2008. During the same year, they obtained a certificate in Space Studies from Beihang University.

In 2018, Jason Hochstein acquired an additional certification in Access 2010 Essential Training from Lynda.com. This training provided him with essential skills in using the Access 2010 software.

Recently, in 2020, they participated in a Professional Certificate Programme called Leadership Essentials for Engineers at Delft University of Technology. This program enhanced their leadership skills within the engineering field.
