Donald Smith

Donald Smith has an extensive work experience in the field of scientific and medical writing. Donald began their career as a Medical Writer at Custom Learning Designs (CLD, Inc.) in June 2007, and was later promoted to the role of Medical Writer II in December 2007. After that, they served as a Senior Medical Writer from June 2008 to June 2009, and finally held the position of Principal Medical Writer from June 2009 to October 2011.

In 2011, Donald joined Evidera as a Senior Research Associate. Over the years, they progressed to the roles of Principal Market Access Writer from November 2013 to October 2015, Associate Scientific Director from October 2015 to October 2016, and Scientific Director from October 2016 to March 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Scientific Director at Evidera from April 2021 onwards.

Donald Smith attended the University of Maine from 1995 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. Donald then went on to study at Harvard Medical School from 1999 to 2007, where they received a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics.
