Donny Chen has extensive experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry. Donny has held various leadership roles throughout their career, with a focus on medical affairs research operations and real-world evidence research.

From 2018 to present, Donny has been at Evidera, where they serve as the Vice President & General Manager of Medical Writing and Healthcare Communications. In this role, they are responsible for the general management and P&L leadership of a global team of 80+ staff.

Prior to Evidera, Donny worked at PPD from 2010 to 2018. Donny started as an Associate Director of Global Late Stage Research, where they spearheaded late stage expansion in Asia Pacific. Donny then progressed to roles as a Director of Medical Affairs Research Operations and finally as a Senior Director of Medical Affairs Research Operations. In these positions, they were responsible for departmental leadership, strategic growth, and managing global teams.

Earlier in their career, Donny held positions at Asian Health Coalition, Icon Clinical Research, and Ovation Research Group, where they gained experience in project management, data analysis, and research.

Donny's educational background includes a research internship at National Taiwan University and a role as a researcher at Ben May Institute.

Donny Chen completed their education from various institutions. Donny attended the American School of Dubai from 1988 to 1994, where they did not earn any specific degree or study a particular field. From 1994 to 1998, Donny pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Pre-Medicine at the University of Chicago. Later, from 2006 to 2008, they attended the University of Chicago - Booth School of Business to obtain an MBA degree with a focus on Strategy, Finance, and Entrepreneurship.
