Thomas Cahill

Thomas Cahill has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Thomas is currently employed as an Information Technology Consultant at Evolve, starting in June 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Gartner as an Executive Partner from January 2016 to June 2020, where they provided expertise and counsel to members, guided them to utilize Gartner's programs, and contributed to research excellence.

Before Gartner, Thomas held various roles at FMC Technologies, including CIO from January 2009 to December 2015. In this position, they led an IT transformation, improved investment decisions, and established a cyber security center of excellence. Thomas also served as the Director of eBusiness Development from January 2001 to 2009.

Thomas's earlier experience includes positions at FMC Corporation, where they held roles such as Director of Information Technology, Director of Data Center Operations and Commercial Outsourcing, Manager of Engineering Computing, Manager of IT Strategic Planning, and Manager of Data Management from 1982 to 2001. Before FMC Corporation, they worked at Continental Bank and GTE Automatic Electric as a Database Administrator.

Thomas Cahill received their Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Northern Illinois University from 1971 to 1975. Thomas then pursued a Masters degree in Computer Science from the same university from 1976 to 1978. After some time, they decided to further their education and earned an MBA in Business/Commerce, General from Texas A&M University from 1999 to 2001.
