Jennifer Yen

Associate Director, BioPharma Solutions, Computational Biology and Algorithms at Exai Bio

Jennifer Yen has over 15 years of experience in bioinformatics and genetics. Jennifer is currently an Associate Director at Exai Bio, leading the Computational Biology and Algorithms team. Prior to that, they worked at Guardant Health, where they played a key role in developing biomarkers for HRD using ctDNA and managing pipeline and analyses for their biopharma collaborations. Jennifer also worked at Personalis, Inc., where they led the validation of the cancer somatic pipeline, managed the development of the clinical cancer somatic pipeline, and helped optimize exome and genome sequence-based diagnostic interpretation methods for cancer and inherited genetic diseases. Jennifer started their career as a Researcher at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, where they investigated the zebrafish system for modeling cancer biology and genomics. Jennifer also has experience as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at the University of Cambridge and Max Planck Institute for Cell Biology and Genetics, respectively.

Jennifer Yen earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Molecular Biology from the University of Toronto. Jennifer also completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Biology from the University of Cambridge. The exact years of attendance are not specified.
