SHANKAR ARUN

Shankar Arun has extensive experience in various leadership roles in the technology and data science field. SHANKAR is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Excelencia, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at IQVIA India as the Global Head of Technology - Data Science, Safety and Regulatory from 2020 to 2023. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing data science strategies and leading a team of senior directors and business analysts.

From 2018 to 2020, Shankar served as the Vice President of Information Technology at PAREXEL INTERNATIONAL CLINICAL RESEARCH PRIVATE LIMITED. Before that, they held the role of Vice President (Clinical Analytics - FSPx), CIO, and Board Member at Labcorp from 2014 to 2018.

Shankar also has experience in establishing and managing operations in India. From 2011 to 2014, they were the Country Head and COO of Octagon Clinical Research India Private Limited (now Accenture), where they successfully built and managed a team of over 350 professionals across multiple domains.

Prior to that, they worked at Cognizant Technology Solutions as an Associate Director in R&D from 2008 to 2011 and as a Delivery Manager from 2004 to 2008. SHANKAR started their career at Infosys, where they held project management roles from 1997 to 2004.

Shankar began their career as a Projects Executive at Crompton Greaves from 1995 to 1997. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated strong leadership skills and a track record of successful change management initiatives.

Shankar Arun completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) degree in Electrical Engineering from Bharathiar University from 1991 to 1995. In 2003 and 2004, they pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in General Management (PGDGM) from SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). In 2018 and 2019, Shankar obtained two Post Graduate Diplomas, one in Digital Business Strategy and the other in Digital Business, from Emeritus. In September 2019, they also obtained a certification in "Time-Tested Methods for Making Complex Decisions" from LinkedIn.
