Derek Shanahan

VP of Growth at Exer Labs

Derek Shanahan has had a long and varied career in the tech and finance industries. In 2004, they founded Shanahan Wealth Services, a financial services practice offering a select group of clients financial “peace of mind” in a way that felt highly ethical. In 2007, they co-founded Twenty Something Bloggers, the world's largest blogger community exclusively for twenty-somethings. In 2009, they co-founded Foodtree, a mobile marketing platform to help specialty food brands communicate brand backstory and product availability. In 2012, they founded Three Hex, a boutique digital marketing agency, and joined Playerize/SuperRewards as Director of Publisher Strategy. In 2017, they became GM of SuperRewards division of RhythmOne/Tremor. In 2020, they joined Exer Labs, Inc. as VP of Growth.

Derek Shanahan attended St. Charles High School from 1994 to 1998 and then Stanford University from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a B.A. in Science, Technology, & Society.
