Adam Janvier

During his PhD and work as a research assistant, Adam used his engineering and cell culture knowledge to design and manufacture novel systems for the culture of 3D tissue engineered musculoskeletal tissues (tendon, bone, cartilage, and muscle). He used molecular biology, a range on imaging techniques and mechanical testing to monitor the development of the engineered tissues.

Over the course of the Covid-19 pandemic Adam worked in PCR (polymerase chain reaction) testing where he had the opportunity to use a wide range of automated liquid handling systems for high throughput of Covid-19 tests.

Adam has a real passion for combining his engineering and cell culture backgrounds through the development unique engineering-based solutions to cell culture problems.
