Boris Mizhen

Boris Mizhen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the technology industry. Boris began their career in 1997 as the CTO and co-founder of Positive Software Corporation, where they led the design and development of major software components for an automated enterprise management system for web hosting. In 2005, they played a key role in negotiating the sale of the company to Comodo Inc.

Following that, Mizhen joined Google in 2005 as a Software Engineer, where they worked on building tools for merchants as part of Google Checkout. Boris led the design and development of the Google Checkout Shopping Cart and was a founding member of the Google Wallet team.

In 2015, Mizhen joined Hyperscience, a startup focused on intelligent document processing, as the Director of Engineering. Boris was recruited as employee #2 and worked closely with the CEO to build and manage an engineering team split between NYC and Sofia, Bulgaria. Their technical skills included Clojure, Python, and AWS.

From 2016 to 2017, Mizhen served as the Director of Engineering at Tapad, a venture-funded ad exchange platform. Boris led the core bidding team of machine learning scientists and engineers, focused on delivering bidding optimization strategies for real-time online advertising auctions in a high query per second (QPS) environment.
