Dimitrios Matrakas

Dimitrios Matrakas has extensive work experience in quality compliance and assurance roles in the pharmaceutical industry. Dimitrios is currently working as a Quality Compliance Manager at Experic since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Quality Assurance Manager at Calyptus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from November 2020 to December 2021.

Before their role at Calyptus Pharmaceuticals, Dimitrios held positions at Virtus Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist from October 2019 to October 2020, and as a Quality Assurance Specialist from November 2016 to October 2019. Dimitrios also worked at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories as a Development Quality Assurance Associate from May 2016 to November 2016.

Earlier in their career, Dimitrios worked at Akorn, Inc. in various roles including Compliance Specialist, Supervisor, and Microbiologist from January 2011 to January 2016. Dimitrios also worked as a QA Associate at Progenitor Cell Therapy from June 2010 to September 2010, and as a Quality Assurance Manager in Microbiology at Gibraltar Laboratories, Inc. from June 2008 to June 2010. Dimitrios started their career as a QA Batch Record Reviewer at Medarex from January 2008 to June 2008, and as a QC Associate at Dendreon from May 2007 to December 2007.

Dimitrios Matrakas completed their education in a chronological manner. Starting in 1999, they attended Penn State University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology. Dimitrios remained at Penn State University until 2003.

In 2003, Dimitrios then enrolled at George Mason University to pursue a Graduate Certificate in Microbial Biodefense. Dimitrios completed this program in 2004.

Continuing their education at George Mason University, Dimitrios embarked on a Master of Science (M.S.) program in Biology, specializing in Microbiology. Dimitrios started in 2004 and successfully completed their degree in 2007.
