Sheetal Muley, PhD

Sheetal Muley, PhD has an extensive work experience in the field of pharmaceutical development and research.

From 2004 to 2009, Sheetal worked at Schering-Plough Research Institute as a Senior Scientist and later as an Associate Principal Scientist. Their responsibilities included managing activities at CROs/CMOs for the development and manufacture of clinical supplies of drug products. Sheetal also designed and supervised formulation and process development activities for immediate release and sustained release formulations.

In 2009, Sheetal joined Purdue Pharma L.P. as a Principal Scientist in Pharmaceutical Product Development.

From 2014 to 2020, Sheetal worked at Ferring Pharmaceuticals, first as a Senior Manager and later as an Associate Director. Sheetal was responsible for leading CMC project teams and successfully obtaining approvals for regulated products. Sheetal also participated in late-phase product development projects and conducted due-diligence activities for pipeline expansion.

In 2020, Sheetal joined Nevakar Inc. as a Director of Program Management. Sheetal provided program leadership for hospital care products and successfully managed drug development activities. Sheetal established design controls, risk management processes, and facilitated the execution of user needs and risk analyses.

In 2021, Sheetal joined Nuvation Bio as the Director of Formulation Development/Drug Product. Sheetal was responsible for drug product development activities, including managing pre-formulation, early phase development, tech transfer, and clinical batch manufacturing. Sheetal also authored and reviewed sections for IND filings and evaluated formulation enabling technologies.

Currently, Sheetal holds the position of Senior Director of Research Development at Experic, starting in 2022.

Sheetal Muley, Ph.D., has a diverse education history in the field of pharmacy and drug design. Sheetal holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Pharmaceutics and Drug Design from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to their doctoral studies, they completed a Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm.) degree in Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery at Jamia Hamdard. Sheetal furthered their education by obtaining a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) degree from the same institution.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Sheetal has also obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. Sheetal completed the "Become a Manager" and "Managing Teams" certifications from LinkedIn in October 2020. In April 2020, they obtained certification in "Excel PivotTables: Mastering PivotTables and PivotCharts" from LinkedIn. In July 2016, Sheetal received the "Certificate in Lean Sigma Yellow Belt" from SixSigma.us. Most recently, in December 2020, they obtained the "Project Management Professional (PMP)" certification from the Project Management Institute.
