Andy Smith

Andy Smith has over 20 years of experience in laboratory operations. Andy is currently the Director of Laboratory Operations at Exscientia, where they started in November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Vertex Pharmaceuticals for five years as the Manager of Laboratory Services. Before Vertex, Andy worked at Orchid Cellmark for 15 years in various laboratory roles, including Laboratory Manager, Senior Laboratory Analyst, and Laboratory Analyst.

Andy Smith completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Medical Microbiology from the University of Surrey between 1998 and 2002. Prior to this, they attended Rutlish Sixth Form College from 1995 to 1998, but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study.
