Sophie Asamer

Sophie Asamer has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries and roles. Sophie started their career as an Au-Pair in Iceland before working as an English teacher for private lessons. Sophie then took on various roles at the MAK Museum for applied art and contemporary art, including translator and project coordinator. Sophie also worked at Allcyte GmbH as an Executive Assistant and Head of HR & Administration. Most recently, they have been serving as an Associate Director of Human Resources & Administration at Exscientia, where they have been responsible for HR and administration, global HR initiatives, talent acquisition, and project management. Sophie has demonstrated their ability to manage rapid expansion and has been involved in the construction of new laboratories and offices.

Sophie Asamer has a diverse education history. Sophie obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Translation (Deutsch, Englisch, Japanisch) from the University of Vienna, which they attended from 2016 to 2026. Prior to that, they earned another Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Anglophone Literatures and Cultures from the same institution, studying from 2014 to 2017. Sophie also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Anglistik und Amerikanistik, which they completed from 2010 to 2015, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Japanologie, which they pursued from 2010 to 2014. Additionally, they obtained their Matura degree from HBLA für Künstlerische Gestaltung, Linz. Sophie has also acquired various certifications, including being a Certified Expert on Employment Law from WIFI Österreich in 2020, achieving the JLPT - Japanese Language Proficiency Certificate N2 from Wiener Volkshochschulen in 2016, and obtaining the IELTS - International English Language Testing System certificate from the British Council in 2011.
